Fiddler Of The Womb

Fiddler Of The Womb short poem

Uploaded by Trupti Kalamdani

The inception of innocence
The fecund life
She cradles her lovingly
She bleeds love.
The life burns out
Before it sees the day
Her eyes bleed.
Luck prevails over tradition
A new life breathes
Dances her way to puberty
She has come of age
She bleeds.
Her youth craves for more
Her dreams meant to soar
Never take flight
Her eyes bleed.
She fumbles in her new role
Sashays in a subservient veil
Sensual pleasures devour her
She bleeds.
The mind disconnects
The heart hardens
Her eyes bleed.
A new life rocks the cradle
Rock a bye baby on the tree top
Your story will be different
The bleeding shall stop
Spoken in vain
The story’s the same
Yet again ,
The old story unfolds
Her heart aches
Her soul Finally bleeds!
