Pity Party

Pity Party
Come on down
Entry is free
With every frown

Broken hearts welcomed
Depressed souls too
Even the desperate
And lonely will do

There’ll be an endless supply
Of self loathing for sure
Plenty room for crying
On the dance floor

Platters of snacks like
Blame will be served
And all the just desserts
You think you deserve

So come on down
And have your fun
Party hearty
Till the dawning sun

But when the day breaks
Be sure to know
It’s time for you to
Get ready to go

To pick up the pieces
And sweep the floor clean
Don’t forget all old baggage
Stuck in between

Throw out the whole lot
Along with the trash
That marked the end
Of last night’s bash
