Solitude short poem

A descent into the abyss of hell,
as the petal of a flower takes flight into the sky above,
where the angels govern mortal men,
keeping a watchful eye on their sheep.

summer night solitude,
and a prayer to the benevolent of the world,
a burning tear running down my cheek,
for those who have deceased.

God is not dead,
even If my mind is,
but my heart keeps beating to the rhythm of the drum.
softly echoing out into eternity.

and if you listen closely,
almost like a faint whisper,
you will find that your soul cries eternal as well.
when all is broken.

and there is no where left to hide,
naked and ashamed,
just surrender,
just surrender…

*Whoosh* Thoughts embedded into my psyche unravel, As I steadily make my way out past the unabating white water. The pure, crisp, salty air fills my nose, lungs, and heart. *Whoosh* I cast an earnest gaze onto the horizon, Awaiting
