Hope

Hope short poem

Some things in life don’t make sense
In your mind you make a fence
To keep the bad out is hard
Said the Broken Bard

You might believe in something
Think it’s love when it’s a fling
Think that tomorrow’s gonna be better
Believe you’ll get that letter

But you gotta understand
Nobody’s gonna give a hand
Cus’ in this world you’re alone
Like a dog without a bone

A four letter word seems magic
When in fact it’s just tragic
Don’t hang on to that brittle rope
That bloody thing called Hope

It might raise your spirits
But you better fear it
Cus’ the higher you go
Greater the fall y’know

So the Broken Bard reminds you
Heed this or be blue
It’s a downhill slope
That bloody thing called Hope
