Unicorn ode

Uploaded by Bob Gosney

it only has one horn
which is why it’s called
a unicorn

if it had two horns
it would be called
a twonicorn

the purpose of a unicorn
is to provide a ride
for a beautiful naked lady-

usually a young unwed princess
fleeing from an evil ogre
or an ugly prince’s proposal-

traveling from fantasy and fable
to the fairy tale romance
of my dreams

a unicorn is magical
but not mythical,
it exists because it lives
in my imagination

so it must be real
as true and tangible
as mermaids and minotaurs

fantasy is truth
just told another way,
unicorns and beautiful ladies
happen to me every day

it’s nice to wake up
after a long night’s dream
