Only You Have Been There

Only You Have Been There short poem

In my good times..

in my bad times..

in my tough times ..

in my rough times..

Only you have been there..

been there with me!!

To lift my moods..

to make us sing together

with cheerfulness and glee..

To hold my hand

when the world

turned its back..

to make me smile

when being happy

had been the last thing

on my mind…

You have been there with me…

to give me comfort

when luxuries even failed

to give joy a birth..

To give me composure,

when the shop of hopes

waited for the time

to bring down the shutters

for merciless closure…

To give me confidence

when even failures

detested to be a part

and parcel of my destiny…

When all I could see

was only a dismay

spread vast in eternity…

Only you have been there

when my heart did beat

but without even a

tiny droplet of life in it..

When all hopes seemed hopeless

you gave me that spark..

to ignite that missing life in me

In my tough times..

in my rough times..

Only you have been there

Only you have been there..

Thank you for blessing me with more than a life in an exchange for a life
