Stasia short poem

Uploaded by Stanly Samuel

My eyes flicker by the breeze
Fluttering between light and sleep
It’s a day I choose to pen a note for my child
After days that keep on ageing over her guarded smile
I lie waiting to be summoned by thoughts
Of her unseen feats
Of moves and crackles that has everything sweeped
My eyes get tricked by the nubile breeze
As I end up succumbing my senses to its soothing wish
I wake an hour after being promised a tiny fling.
But now find it easier to muster the outer trapping
I sense her wriggle on her bed
The space s cramping her already
Although there’s time to grow all stocky for this tantrum
I do hear the rumble that’s about to come
I wait to look into her eyes someday
To bake in the glow that beams uninterrupted
To get me past hurdles as easy
As the things she just dismantled
I am all ordinary to be deserving of a beautiful you
Yours are the hands that I look to cling onto
Wait till the time I lift you up and roam the streets
Baby don’t cry but whisper all I need to do to please
Dad’s not that hard or not that boring
Together we can hit the long hard miles exploring
Fun on the way as we switch glasses
Pass on the style tips to look cool before your classes
