A Dreamer’s Sigh

A Dreamers Sigh short poem

Uploaded by Sumanta Fernandes

Experiences continue to haunt you
Life events sort of taunt you
Things to which you long said good bye
You fear someday might say hi

Heart had seen dreams shatter
Thoughts said past doesn’t matter
People continue to pull you in yesterday’s mess
Even after knowing you have worn a new dress

Questioning eyes continue to stare
What have I done that’s beyond repair
Barking dogs scratch reopen a healing cut
Splashing upon you puddled dirt

Ears wanna hear a new song
Soul wishes it was never born
Wish the page of fate I could just turn
To the pot-holed road I don’t wanna return

Dreamers differ in dream they dream, From heart to eyes they speak of dreams, Dreams of love, words and strings they dream. A little boy dreams of bright sky, To see his dreams flying high like kites, A dreamer dreams
