Accident short poem

Uploaded by Sumanta Fernandes

Sometimes, somewhere an accident takes place
No idea why you are halted at that painful place
Wondering when had I entered the race?
I was driving at my own pace.

The journey seemed beautiful
Signboards warned you being dutiful
Illusioned tour mesmerized you lots
Unable to draw lines between the dots

Potholes on the road you ignored
Crossing hurdles you thought one scored
Believing the road further would be just fine
Expecting to reach the finishing line

Some roads can never be mended
It’s you when the journey should be ended
Useless at times to continue the chase
Knowing you are moving on a risky base

Made a move which you thought was right
In darkness expected light
Bruising yourself was your choice
No complaints, appeals, raised no voice

Imagined journey as warned ended
Plans sucked! Don’t feel offended
Not everything end as expected
Yet by memories you continue to be haunted
