Never Was It Right?

Never Was It Right? short poem

Uploaded by Umang Mehta

Never was it right?
Or was it always that we needed to try,
for own sake obviously.

Was it,
that we ever wanted discrimination on the complexion.
Or was it that we always needed to try,
at the behest of others obviously.
Was white the color of glory and significance,
that we still preferred black coffee over every drink.

Ever was it right?
when the love that defined attraction,
started to give definition to molestation.
when the harmony became so weak,
that it could not withstand the war bombs.

Love was never meant to be judged.
Wars were never meant to exist.
We were never supposed to change.
Life was never thought to turn like this.

Seeing what the world has become and further,
it was never right.
