Trump Wins

May there be mercy
this day of mourning.
Fly flags half-mast
for human rights’ regress.

The “forgotten” poor, white male minority
are distressed by their societal mortality.
Clinging to obsolete “common” privilege:
sexism, lying, and xenophobic “wisdom”.

They are what we have fought to change,
to take the place of the good-ol’-boy days,
to eliminate that ancient construct
that women are only good-for-fuckn’.

The fear of change manipulated,
by this red-necked man so full of rage
lured by his unattainable promises;
conned by his vile psychoses.

Back to colonialism,
back to slavery,
apathy threatens to overcome.
After all these years – social change and tears,

the U.S. supreme leader,
a global wheeler and dealer,
is a rapist, psychopathic, billionaire, creep.
Long and true, I shall weep

for future economies,
cross-bordered families,
the Arts, free speech;
defiant women bleed and flee.

A global mockery
of liberty and decency,
an exaltation of greed and misery:
a liar is what is proven is he.

A backward step to life’s glory –
Do not trust this disreputable guy,
good souls beware,
you should be scared.

Part of me says it’s their own bed
but we are not a part of them.
We who are imprisoned now,
hostages of hate-wielded walls,

You and I
continue to fight
for planetary protection
and human rights,

one day we just may
not be found,
detained for rightful presidential slander;
we’ll be lost or underground.

May there be mercy
this day of mourning.
Fly flags half-mast for
human rights’ regress.

Trump short poem

When the loud trumpets lie And the slithering mist usher our souls’ demise A chameleon claims the eagle flag as his right Dismissing us all like flies This Caesar is no savior His arrogance betrays his hateful designs We remember
