Dream World

All those romantic moments washed away in my flood of tears

In a moment I got up from slumber dreading this horrific dream

In that darkness of night I struggled to get back my sleep

Sans sleep I waited endlessly in anticipation of morning bright

UN aware I tread slowly back into slumber

I could get back to the point where I had slipped off

My heart beat set its tune again in anticipation of his arrival

I happen to see

the same Moon,

the same stars

the same breezy night

I experience

the typical disturbed mind

the typical heart beats

Alas my heart throb is still

not to be seen any where around

even after past the mid night

and I lay shattered all over again

Both my heart and mind are drowned
again in the whirl wind of disappointment
and I feel suffocated unable to breath

Now I am placed in a situation where
neither I have hopes of getting him
nor I am in a position to breath back

My heart is struggling to come out
of this dreaded dream

At last with the ringing of Alarm Bell
I could get up from bed leaving behind
the traumatic dream

I have realised that even in dreams
one should desist from falling in Love
as it is sure an invitation to drown in sorrow
