Aggravation

Indeed if I play the victim
can’t feign but it’s a fact

Balance forever skewed
short changed not exact

Deprived of a fair share
in an equitable level field

In situations near similar
had always but me yield

Moments utter desolate
were left for me to fend

No one to stand beside
or any empathy extend

It’s not about strangers
but ones deemed known

With unseemly agendas
and wily intent unknown

Stabs have healed since
but old scars still remain

Reminding of afflictions
mindless & ever so vain

Journey’s been arduous
took all how got dished

In a manner unexpected
contrary to way wished
