Where Do The Butterflies Go

Where Do The Butterflies Go long poem

Tears of dews drop glistening
Breaks the days of dawn
Caterpillars shedding shells cocoon
Seedlings awaken up with yawn

The little fairies quaintly appear
Dancing their dances, all the day long
But, where do the butterflies dance to
When the sun hides her head…
And the days are shamelessly gone

They fill up my gardens
Frolic from tip of Tulip to end of the Rose
Next on Sunflower silently speaking
Upon the Daffodil the flutter flies flown
Their precious secrets keeping
From sunrise until the sun goes down

A parade in, floats
Viceroy to the Monarch whom all try to befriend
Royaly regal and gingerly black
Passing the hours while waltzing cross flowers
But, where does each of them go at processions end

Dainty, the Painted lady curtseys
Among the swan Swallowtails between the weed
Admirals tiptoeing across wilds green blade
But, each shall soon hide hide away
Flying rainbows of season’s beginning to fade

And my gardens once magical now bare
The little fairies all have but disappeared
Taking the lead on the whisper of wisps
Of a newly fresh winter’s air

Following the dawns of morning autumn
The frigid becoming wjth her angels of snow
Where the butterflies journey off to
Other summers, a place, a land far, far away
Please, tell me! where, oh where did the butterflies go
