I See You

I See You short poem

Uploaded by Adam Lifshitz

I see you on the dancefloor, a beam of light in the darkness.
I see you with my eyes closed, when we share our first kiss.
I see you with your clothes off, and I am struck with awe.
I see you again, for it is a sight worth seeing twice.

I see you in all your beauty, for it is impossible to miss.
I see you how calm you are, comfortable, confident, independent.
I see you with your friends, the many who have seen you before.
I see you with my own friends, who now see you too.

I see you in my bed, and it is one of the best things I have seen.
I see you in my arms, for where else would they be.
I see you, even when I do not get to see you.
I see you in light, dark, day and night, and I always see you the same way.

Because when I see you, you see me,
Eye to eye,
And there is nothing else I would rather see.
