Bygone Days

Bygone Days sonnet poems

As I was reliving the past in stillness of the night,
Broken vows and promises held my eyes tight.
Of the familiar ones did I see,
Some are lost in the flowing sea.
Parted roads did we take,
Lonely souls of rue did it make.
Two summers gone,
When a new life was born.
Old woes vanished and so is fear,
Driven by the ecstasy of a new year.
New colors flourished all around,
I lost thee in the crowded ground.
Lambent sun rays exposed in my eyes,
Signifying the shift of time to rise.
