A Cup Of Coffee

A Cup Of Coffee short poem

It was the day after the ally
Which was cold and breezy
I Opened my eyes slowly
In a blanket warm and fleecy

saw a smile bright and bubbly
With a big cup of coffee
Woke up still feeling sleepy
And everything felt dreamy

He whispered in my ear softly
With a Kiss smooth and lively
A wish so sweet and lovely
made me extremely happy

It looked nice and lacy
Every sip was fresh and tasty
Filled with love of my baby
Made my heart go crazy

Without a thought I moved closely
And kissed him as he hugged me
I felt safe , secure and comfy
In the arms of my sweetie

The doubts I had lately
About the life with my hubby
Just vanished in a jiffy
As I fell for him completely

Life changed greatly
With every anniversary
But I can say proudly
That he wakes me daily
With a big cup of coffee

They minded their conversation, The ants that came marching in. Extra sugar. A little less cream. The foam from their latte circled their mouths, Disfigured steam still rising from their small cups. A light comfort found after a hard day’s

The Cream And The Coffee

The Cream And The Coffee short poem

Into bitter molten depths Treacle-dark and aromatic Swirled a creamy linen light Tantalising, limbs ecstatic Weak and trailing, meek and gentle Doomed at first to dark absorption Probing, twirling, infiltrating Spiralling with limp contortion Mild, yet purposeful and sure Edging,

Tempest In My Coffee Cup

Tempest In My Coffee Cup prose poem

YOUR COFFEE MUG still sits where you left it, half-empty, atop your favorite porcelain, brim smudged with a curious combination of dried froth and pink lipstick. It’s my little testimony, you know, to a life well led and a union

So Much Over A Cup Of Coffee
