The Station

The Station short poem

Lights and dark shadows
Leaves swirl around
A couple hugging with joy
A couple in tears saying goodbye
Voices fading into the sounds of wheels
Of a train traveling to ends unknown
Into the depth time and space
An inner reflection through the window
In the minds of passengers
‘Tis not that life passes in vain
‘Tis that it revives again
With each beat of the heart
Life is but a transit station.
