Be My Valentine

It was day like today,
I met a soul so rare to find,
A soul so pure, so beautiful,
Her smile shined like the stars,
A beauty I’d never seen,
Like a fool I fell in love.

Her graceful move,
Melted my heart,
I couldn’t stop staring,
Like a fool so shamelessly,
Once our eyes met,
My entire being became still,
I heard nothing else,
Neither the hoots nor the sirens,
I was stuck in the middle of the road,
Like a fool in love.

Forgive me drivers,
I remember saying,
The she touched my shoulder,
Perhaps to wake me up,
How could I wake?
And end this beautiful dream,
I just had to faint,
And feel her hands,
So smooth, so caring,
If I had to faint every day,
Just to feel this way,
Then let me be,
Like a fool in love.

Then came the best part,
To bring me back to life,
A kiss of life,
Oh! My God,
Don’t let me die,
The kiss, so soft so tender,
I remember saying,
Don’t let me kiss back,
And my eyes opened,
The beauty of the universe was there,
I had her, so close, so near,
She was mine, I was hers,
And I asked her,
Be my valentine?

My Fault short poem

Your genome was climbing down. I hate to count the steps. Feathers hurt sometimes after the end of flying. How far was the moment of dust? You were still swimming in saline water. A collective guilt will pay the price.
