Through A Cat’s Eyes

Through A Cats Eyes short poem

She stands on all four a guild of colors and patterns-
rubbing off mystery and heed with pries for eyes!
I reach for her head; she purrs faster than my pitapat.
I go back to my kitchen, shut the door, and she churns.
I can hear her prowl and outcries!
Tomcat or pussycat this cat is no dingbat!
Her meows are surly and caveat around gadflies!
One leg is white with bilk and swish free of lies!
Another one sports a grey sleeve torn from an autocrat
Her backlegs are a cistern of all virtue that spurns-
acts of selfishness, and control from the unwise!
This cat is twice a day an attention jurat
seeking all the affection she values.
One caress says all the love or hate she can surmise
In her eyes you are a hepcat or a brat!

Whispered names falling simply off lips, Freckles that ripple on skin, Azure eyes that flooded dreams. Eyes may capsize stable thoughts, Blindly wade into unknown waters, Not knowing awaiting dangers. A siren’s melody put in a trance, A map to
