An Urge

An Urge short poem

Uploaded by Sejuti Chowdhury

From time Immemorial,I am saviour of millions life,
I am lifeline to your daily needs ,
Cities ,towns grew on the bank of mine.

I feed you
I quench your thirst
I provide enlightment to you
I am the reason of your salvation .

I am pious ,pollute.
You held me in high esteem
fold your hands to pay false obeisance
Sinners take holy dip to wash away their sins .
still I take your all sorrows
to make you pure

Stop being hypocrite
Keep me Sacred
I promise to serve you forever and ever.
