The Life Song

The Life Song sonnet poems

In life, love, imagination, and belief,
In soul, heart, mind, and death,
My whole, solemn, and spiritual relief
Is the song worshipped by my every breath.
The melody played by the passion of my heart
Can be heard from miles away,
Along with the harmony that makes the universe a part
Of my soul through each and every day.
This song has lingered on for all my life,
And not a note has yet to fade.
This song has carried me through every strife
And when my heart was heavy-laid.
No other song will satisfy my soul
Until life’s end draws near, and I have been made whole.
