To My Teacher

To My Teacher prose poem

However hard I may try
He scares me away
Coz I m one gullible being
No one might feel so very shy

Each time I gather courage
To face him with guts and grit
To ask questions without quit
And not compare myself to zit

Something not quite right happens
Every time I try
lips I bite
The words seemingly fail to land
at the moment
And things go out of hand

Another person I portray
And I know not why I let it be that way
Going down in thoughts
Not a ray of hope in the dark clouds
Like darkness even after the sun has come out!!

Others seem to acknowledge my skills
But why the one who should
Doesn’t, in the slightest bay of good
I keep performing drills after drills

Who will save me from this dilemma
Only God knows
The time when things go right
Will be when
I m taken out of my plight,but,
As for now the goal looks out of sight!!

Without doubt,he is the best I could find
Have learnt from him the tricks of the grind
Its he that has taught me
whatever little I know today
His guidance and supervision
Has moulded me from unfinished clay
Discovered him else I would have gone astray

I ain’t no loser
I ain’t no quitter
I work hard and I may be
a little on the slower
But I don’t give up in a haste
I want him to know
To be good if not the best
And that is what I want to show!!

Poet’s note:
That was a whole note to my teacher
I hope I am not given a whole beat!
