Visit To Temple

When the mind is happy
when the mood is upbeat
when the purse is full
when the family is in tune
when the friends encircle

Then Life appears delightful
A visit to the temple is just a formality
God appears like a stone
folding of hands in front of God is just an exercise to impress priest
while mind is dancing in Ecstasy in anticipation of gala time

when the mood is sombre
when the mind is sad
when the purse is empty
when the family in tears
when the friends desert

Then life looks miserable
A visit to Temple becomes a must
God appears Divine even in stone
Closing of eyes and praying deep from heart
with folded hands is automatic
Mind is in state of total surrender to God

Visiting Temple when in Ecstasy appears to be a formality
Visiting Temple in Agony spells out divinity

God appears every where when one is in trouble
God seen no where when one is out of trouble
