I Am In The Margin

I Am In The Margin short poem

I am in the margin!
I am like her, she is like me
But I feel, I am unlike her
I speak well, she too speaks well
But I feel, I am not audible
I write pages, she too writes pages.
But I feel , I am without wages.
I voice my thoughts, she too voices her views.
But I feel, my thoughts are dumb.
I score good grade, she too scores grade.
But I know, I am not on the toppers’ list,
Why is it so ?
Where is the wrong ?
Am I the wrong ?
Oh! God, Am I an outcast ?
Can I not surpass her ?
Am I unfit for the recognition ?
No! God, May you do something ?
That opens the World’s eye
That stares at the Truth in me
Who is in the margin,
And that can place me in the centre
The crown of my glory.
