Stop The Slaughter

Stop The Slaughter sonnet poems

Why dont you refuse to be selfish and cruel,
Over meat you drool
Why have you become animals’ graveyard,
These mute creatures are worthy to be safeguard

Why are you keen on feeding your tyrannical appetite,
Are you blind to see those poor fellows’ plight
Why do you feast upon animals as your dinner,
May lord forgive you for becoming a sinner

Why are you oblivious that energy never dies,
Have you ever witnessed the depth in their eyes
They too have the freedom to live,
And the compassion you have failed to give

Why do you exhibit to be heinous,
Do you think their death is painless
Stop the slaughter and end the pain,
I count on the human race to become sane
