I Own My Own Happiness

I tried to be that girl
the girl that was the reason you fell
I have so many stories to tell
Sad ones though
Cuz you made it so
You broke my heart
And You tore it apart
Funny enough I predicted it all from the start
But I was too foolish, I wasn’t ready to part
What did she have that I didn’t
We were both similar, but she was your student
The one whom you promised wasn’t a treat
But now I feel so upset
Cuz u cheated, you deceived me
And treated me like a dum old pet
This is becoming an old song
But I’ve waited for a change way too long
Now, I’m done trying to please you
I give up on all efforts to become her beautiful
I guess our love was too good to be true
By tomorrow, ure gonna wake up to an empty bed
Cuz by morning, I would have fled
I’m leaving to find my own happiness
This is all because you never cared
