Dream

Dream short poem

I was sleeping really deep
My mind in its resting phase
My heart beating at its own pace
There was pin drop silence all around
It seemed like
Even the dogs had lost their sound.
I had a sudden feeling
Like my bed was gradually disappearing
I started falling
Through the entire darkness of time and space
Without any limits.
I was unaware of my destination
As to where this would end.
Whether this was the beginning,
Or I was passing into a whole new world of fame.
As I passed through eternal darkness
I saw my life shredded into pieces
All good and bad
Big and small
Everything packed into small envelopes.
I was breathing heavily,
Sometimes unable to breathe,
Trying hard to stay alive
My lungs feeling the scarcity of air
My heart beating fast
My mind trying hard to make up for the situation
When suddenly I woke up
With a drop of cold water
Impacting my eyes
And making me realise,
It was nothing but just a dream.
