An Ode To The Burglar

An Ode To The Burglar ode

Filthy fingers that pinched my wallet
Crooked skeletons in your closet
Using every sliver of shade to hide your face
In the blinding, piercing light of righteous day
Heart smashing violently against your ribs
As you scurry to seek a lightless asylum
All you hear is your trembling warm breath
In the pitch-black
As you attempt to regain your momentum
In vain.
Always feeling eerily luminous eyes stalk you
Sensing poison ivy prick into your raw flesh
Forever suffocated by an unnamed sensation
Inability to maintain eye-contact in conversations
Each damned lungful of air you respire
Fills me with twice as much worth of ire
As to why you slithered stealthily away
When your hands are smeared with crimson blood stains

Despicable criminal
It is hardly a word that I should be using
For someone of a respectable school
So what if you have found your musing?
When I go to college, will you head there too?

No, of course not

Won’t even be able to lift your head up
Can’t even walk straight
Drowning in a whirlpool of your dire straits
You pray to God for salvation and luck
But his holiness ignores cowards like you
Countless sleepless nights await you
Bloodshot eyes,
Feeling something is chomping on your insides
I urge you, the sordid and ignominious
To own up to your own atrocity
Shall you fail
I will make sure I attend your hearing
And ensure I escort you personally to jail

Semi-sweet and a little nutty. Introverted, socially awkward, but still easy-going and loves penning short legacies in poetry. Big on all things red, and passionate about music. Down-to-earth and enjoys short walks in mother nature's embrace. Smile people, today's going to be a great day. Fly Flight An Ode To Birds long poem

Birds levitate and are airborne, Flapping wings soaring to the highest stratosphere, Flying into the blue yonder, Over snowcapped mountains, abutting the clouds, Flying, gliding, landing, so sublime Perching themselves in the tiny gap between other birds on a cable

Like Home, A Ode To Langston Hughes short poem

I had a dream once, One where I flung my arms back And felt a caress so tight. I couldn’t help but feel at home. A place I haven’t been in so long. Night comes as I close my eyes.

Imposters, An Ode. short poem

Sometimes in the dark, I see them break apart, With furry or straight hair, Into pieces of never there. I reload and think back, To when parlour music played, People laughed and went home, So happy that they came. Then
