Was It Worth The Wait?

Was It Worth The Wait? short poem

Was it worth the wait?
Even though the time couldn’t last
Even though it was so short
Was it worth the wait?
How long do we have to wait?
So the world can see
It was meant to be
Tell me was it worth the wait
Even though it was so short
Even though the time couldn’t last
Was it worth the wait?

How can you be so close?
Yet so far to me
wish we were sticking together
Like a brand new star
Making this dream a reality
Making my hopes come true to me

You’re the island in my water
Sun in my sky
Stars shining bright in the night sky
I think about you
All the time
Was it worth the wait?
Even though the time couldn’t last
Even though it was so short
Was it worth the wait?
Was it meant to be?
