Somewhere ballad

Uploaded by Bill Kamen

I drift across a secluded beach.
I feel the sand beneath my feet.
Impressions fading in the sand
from a turning tide.

I catch a fragrance in the air,
i stop to look in wonder
as it captivates my senses
with serenity.

I close my eyes,
and see you on that beach
swaying to the sound of the waves.
A brief vision of all that was  beautiful
is but a memory.

Somewhere where love began
Somewhere where love blossomed

Somewhere only we know

I came across a frail beach pea
once blossoming binding the sand.
Is this the spot our hearts blossomed
binding our love?

Adrift in the shallows
of a changing tide,
time ages, understanding deepens
and beauty reveals in different forms.

Visions of what we shared,
once blowing in with the sea breeze,
now, nothing more than broken shells
scattered in the sand.

Let’s go back to those moments of magic
to talk about it and put the broken pieces
back together to complete our voyage.

Somewhere where love began
Somewhere where love blossomed

Somewhere only we know

Somewhere only we know
