Bankrupt long poem

Though I belong to the Middle class
possessing hardly any liquid cash
thought of invalid notes sent shiver
in my spines

Losing the currency in one stroke
set a psychological upheaval in my mind

Thoughts of whether I really had the currency in my possession
became irrelevant for a moment

I realised the very mention of notes getting invalid
plays a huge psychological mental imbalance
not only to the corrupt and black marketeers
but also to the common honest middle class
as well as lower class people of the society

While Money is essential for the survival
losing money irrespective of the quantum
will automatically make a person nervous

With the mad crowd queueing in front of ATMs
to withdraw specified limited amount of money
I too stated standing in the Queue with the thought
my money will be safe in my pocket than in the bank

Though the middle class will have exhausted most of
his salary or pension before the first week as his time table
of expenditure is all fixed, I developed a phobia of trying to
withdraw money as soon as I saw an ATM

I was too happy to get into an ATM kiosk to insert my card
and get my valuable money back.
After feeding the Password I was curiously waiting to
collect brand new notes from the machine but the wait
became endless.

In desperation I raised my head to look at the monitor
I felt miserable on knowing that I have no balance left in my account

My Madness of trying to draw the money at the sight of ATM
lead me to bankruptcy of not only my money but my brain too

This phobia of the empty pocket is a very clever work. It is so real. I often felt that way too.
