For Ages

For Ages short poem

It was the 5th of June,
Oh baby! Your eyes shone brighter than the moon,
You held my hand and I looked into those magical eyes,
Which then made me realise that
A girl like you is impossible to find.

You called me a magician in disguise,
But my magic ain’t shit infront of the magic of your eyes,
Oh! Those eyes, I still remember them with a sigh,
and how they made every lie you ever spoke to me a sight,
That I could’ve seen,
All my life…

You left me without saying a word,
And scarred me like a sunburn
But I know love, you do miss me,
And even you want to kiss me

As for me, I’ll still love you,
‘Cause hearts are wild creatures,
Ribs are cages,
Don’t you worry babe,
I’ll be loving you for ages…
