The Help Of Poems

The Help Of Poems prose poem

I am not one that uses great emotions
I never see to have the notion
The anger inside me sometimes starts to bubble
And if I let it all out it will get me in trouble
My teacher one day introduced me to poems
Since then I have really gotten to know em’
Although I should say they have gotten to know me
They may be annoying to some, but they make me buzz like a bee
In my family emotions are not strongly used
Not using emotions leaves people fused
So, I put what I feel in writings such as poems and songs
It helps to soothe me when inside everything feels wrong
It means that I can express how I feel without worrying what others think
I can write poems before a person can blink
Ever since I started writing my poems I couldn’t stop
Especially when it feels my life is about to drop
It has gotten me through all of my strange medical problems that kept me stuck in the hospital
And a family engaged in a massive word battle
It helps me when no one wants to listen to what I have to say
Which is pretty much every single day

Doing well in the Land that I love, I give thanks to the God up above. If not for him, I won’t be. He comforts and steadies me. If not I’d fall apart, uncertain and drowning from provocation. I had
