Mother prose poem

Cold, hatred, full of sin
All the evil in the world within
Turning all dreams into nightmares
Throwing put downs everywhere
To your worst enemy she will chain you
Expecting you to one day be like her too
She is quickly turning your kind soul
Into something as dark and black as coal
She deceives you in saying she cares
But really it’s your heart that she tears
She sees herself as the one and only
Which really leaves you oh so lonely
This makes you angry, upset, and your self-esteem mend less
And your thoughts to leave this world are endless
You couldn’t do that you told yourself
Because you would leave your true love all by himself
He and your friends are what you live for from day to day
And you wouldn’t have it and other way
That is why you put up with this heartless scoundrel
Although all hope is doubtful
So lift up your face, pick yourself up off the ground
Just know one day all the lost will be found
So as you go through this world as it seems all alone
I want you to know one day you will be called home
