When You Were There…

When You Were There… long poem

I heard the shepherdess sing
The song of dawn upon the hill
Merry go the twinkling stars
In shelter of their dream
The sunbeams come
Dancing upon the lake
When the yellow traveler
Makes his sway
Flowers open up their face
To catch the morning dew
Falling from the space,
Birds sing the song of joy
And trees move slowly
To the melody of the lure
Just along the hill
In the valley of the wind
Where lovers still walk
Hand in hand
From first to the end
And I just walk with a dream
As once we together did
When you were there…

I follow the sweet song
Of the heart
An echo of a lost love,
The story of our past
To the deep in the forest
And beyond the hill
The more I walk
The more it fades away
Enticing me to further come
In another part of the gorge
Merry circles and lakes
I look for you in every place
The forest still looks
Like your morning face
And the blowing wind
Whispers your grace
And I keep looking
All through the time
Singing our lost rhyme
So meaningful a life
When you were there…

I dream of you
Through the nights
A Sleepless twilight
Seeking the path of life
Walking where
Someday we will be across
Then I wake up
With a new zeal
For there are still
Some unchartered parts
Across the hill,
Countless weary nights
And years have passed
Who counted them?
And they never mattered a lot!
For in trying to find someone –
It is to become forever lost
This life or the next
We will live again
A life of love, our fairy tale
Like the way it were
When you were there…
