Will You, Will You?

Will You, Will You? short poem

Will you love me still
When my face does no more thrill?

Will your eyes shine
When mine don’t look fine?

Will your lips sport a smile
That will be without guile?

When bare and bald is my crown
Will there be a dreaded frown?

When wrinkled skin greet your eye
Will you away from me fly?

When I no longer youthful look
Will you such a sight brook?

When people pass remarks snide
Will I still be your pride?

When you’ll always be mine,
Will you ever cherish me thine?

Should I cease to be loved
By the one who is my beloved!

It’ll be the death of me
To live alone without thee.
