Unprovoked short poem

Uploaded by Jamin Benjamin

When you’re there,
It can be unmistakable.
Like a mask,
In a passing fable.
You pretend to be tough,
Cracking a smile fulfilling enough.

Why you resist,
Is from past unshakables,
Hovering over intention,
Permanent and unbreakable.
Just then it consumes you,
A smirk lighting the dimmest shrew.

When people look they grin,
Realizations dawn inoperable,
You’re smiling again,
In the wake of the awful.
Living at your best within,
Unprovoked finally attainable trends.
