Jaywalker short poem

Uploaded by Rob Smith

Circles abound
Clouds unbroken in high sky
Sun pounds down
Patterns quilted to my eyes
Legs quaking
Muscle sinews shaking
Metal missiles passing
Broken glass refracting
The bloody image drowns my mind

My foot gone numb
steps the edge and stops my run
Engines mindless turning
Metal teeth geared to relentless churning
My world gone from
Pure to pavement death is come
Silver grill cold against my wound

Hot rubber
Tar, burned out killed her lover
F*&king walker…I’m a jaywalker
Jump out walker

Smile around
A turn in life agree I see your side
Turn around
I’ll jump in front again just to paralyze
A life drowned
Candy kiss sugar sweet ill but the lie
‘Cause I’m a walker-a jump out walk
