Farewell To College Days….

Farewell To College Days.... long poem

I wonder how soon these days passed away
I look back and feel it was yesterday…………………..1

When floors of this institution did I first tread
I remember the nervousness that I had had……..….2

An amazing journey it has been for me
Oh! Some more days I wish here I could be………….3

It taught life’s lessons and values and more
Shaped me in a better person than before………….4

Times of fun in classes is now to end
No more lectures-practicals to attend…………………5

Assignments-journals with non-stop writing
The joy that end of submissions would bring………..6

Orals & Practicals were always worrying
And during exams, late night studying….………….…7

The anxiety of the results’ announcement
Exciting, new semester’s commencement…….………8

Times spent in classes, campus and canteen
Through lifetime worth of memories I’ve been………9

True guiding light are the teachers I found
None better could’ve been in the world around……10

Getting such great friends is my real treasure
I’ll cherish this friendship beyond measure………….11

Not same anymore this year’s end would be
For, next year I won’t have my friends to see………..12

If ever I am granted these years anew
Same college I’d want, with friends again you……….13

The past four years flash in front of my eyes
While I say now my final goodbyes…………………….14

I yearn again to relive these happy days
With sweet memories, they’ll be missed always…….15

The paths of our lives will take a new bend
A new beginning to a perfect end! ………………………..16

End Of Days

End Of Days short poem

The wind swept trees stand tall like Hercules with all his strength, for here in this place lies the dead and dying of mankind. Here in this turmoil we also see God. Within the desert the winds are stirring again

My Last Days

My Last Days short poem

Last few days at school, where saplings grew as flowering plants, aroused sentiments and camaraderie, friends became relatives, teasers- mates. First and last day in college, turned to be morning to noon. Diffident souls of first day left as inflated

Bygone Days

Bygone Days sonnet poems

As I was reliving the past in stillness of the night, Broken vows and promises held my eyes tight. Of the familiar ones did I see, Some are lost in the flowing sea. Parted roads did we take, Lonely souls

Gone Are Those Days

Gone Are Those Days long poem

Gone are those days when We didn’t need to think about calories before eating. We didn’t have to plan everything in advance. We didn’t have to decide what to wear for a party. We didn’t have to check before speaking.
