Heavens short poem

Uploaded by Jamin Benjamin

For the Heavens I strive,
To make purpose from being alive,
To ascend one bright day,
To have visions enough to parlay.

For becoming a better man,
To give to those I sometimes can’t,
To show how deeply I can find,
To reward passion in the hardest times.

For examples I cannot seem to overcome,
To parrell fences I tried to love,
To hit softly the hardest symbols,
To remember why to be stiff yet still tremble.

For all the ways I am the true me,
To be selfish at times and still see,
To the point of life opposing change,
To be proud of my journey and all it became.

For the Heavens I still cope,
For a better man I still hope,
For overcoming in the eye of the storms,
For the truth I stay among Heavenly ways to be torn.
