Seven Kind

Seven Kind short poem

Uploaded by Jamin Benjamin

Once when the forest wept,
We hid under a tree, as if protected.

Twice we saw the force of the storms,
Cycle so stunning, even as it poured.

Three pinecones fell to the ground,
When they splashed, what a sound.

Fourth was the day, Tuesday in May,
Out to observe the birds, as they say.

Five pictures taken from different angles,
Tree’s leaning sideways, branches so mangled.

Six minutes past before getting out from under,
A feeling of weight, nature never blunders.

Seven minutes back to the road where we departed,
Even in the rainforest, danger can be kind hearted.
