Heels

Heels short poem

Uploaded by Jamin Benjamin

Swimming often in the deep,
My beath held with kicking feet,
Exploring the endless ocean, I,
Squint and close my eyes,
Feeling the burn of oxygen absent,
Take in the pain and dive,
Deeper down with intent,
The waves sway in gentle torment.

All the life I see under,
A different world to plunder,
Gifts received as my mind goes,
The lack of air has made me know,
That the best is yet to come above,
I can surface and still love,
The way I endlessly treasure to feel,
When the water touches my heels.
