Goodbye My Love

Goodbye My Love short poem

Yesterday I was looking for you
But you didn’t show
I wanted to say sorry
But you just said no

So I tried to get you to understand
And you said just go
At that point I wanted to show
Show the things that were once at hold

But you pushed me away and left
It was like playing the piano and hitting a higher clef
You decided to leave
That was your choice
There’s no more I could have done
So just go away and forget about me

I remember things we did together
You would hold my hand at the park
Told me you would never let me go
But in the end that was just a gust of wind

I could do nothing to get you back
I could try to force you
But you would feel you were half attacked
I know nothing anymore
From the life we once had
To the day you left

It’s all gone and not another word to be said
You would forget me and just move on
But it was my fault wasn’t it
The way you cried that day
So I say good by my love
You’re the one that I have put my trust in
I will never forget you
Goodbye my love
