You And Me

You And Me short poem

There exists a special bond between you and me.
We are one in body, mind and spirit.
Our hearts are intertwined
and where one begins, the other ends.
We have weathered the storms of life together
and the bond has become stronger between you and me.
We have seen good times and we’ve seen bad times.
We’ve had plenty and there were times there was barely enough.
Through it all, you and me loved each other and persevered.
You were with me when I was at my lowest point in life.
You gave me the courage I needed and I got better.
You are the net that catches me when I fall.
You pull me up, brush off the dust and set me on solid ground.
I can talk to you about any and every thing.
I never have to mince words and be careful of what I say with you.
Because we are so close, I can be myself with you.
There is no reason for deceit between you and me.
From now into eternity, I long to be with you.
Because I have never known a greater love that exists
Than the one between you and me.

Trust, faith, love and understanding play an important part in the lives of people who believe in true love. The poem showcases these points and there is no doubt that such love blossoms and lives on to the happiness of both in love.
