Every Girl Should Have At Least One Poem Written For Her, Pat / This Is Your 96th... And Last short poem

Uploaded by Andrew Darlington

your voice across the wire
says ‘a new situation’s developed
while you’ve been away…’

when we first made love
you wrote poems about
crocuses, spring and
new beginnings

now
autumn’s
come so hard

your voice across the wire
says ‘a new situation’s developed
while you’ve been away…’

the wine I bought you
that you were saving,
you use to drink to
your ‘new situation’

and
across the wire
I can taste its wetness
on your mouth

but though
this autumn’s
so hard

the roots
of spring
persist

The Prince, The King And The Master long poem

The shrine of Madonna stood tall, The high king’s rapier fell down, not anymore was he the young prince, for he was devoid of all feelings. The shrine of Madonna stood strong, The high king’s blood washed the ivory pedestal,

Who Was Me? short poem

A misbelief breaks into rags. Still I dream of some gods on black pages piecing together the words of light. The rains come in the cage of tears, voicelessly. Striated muscles of splintered faith go to cramps birthing the avatar
