I refuse

I refuse short poem

I refuse to follow you.
I refuse to borrow your words,
your ideas, your beliefs.
Limiting preachings of fragmented minds.

I refuse to follow you.
I refuse to adopt your meanings,
interpretations, definitions.
Confining parameters, conditioning.

I refuse to follow you.
I refuse to belong to a nation, a race,
a religion, a caste, a creed.
False divisions, imaginary categories.

I refuse to follow you.
I refuse to hide behind a personality type,
to find any fault in you or me.
Evolutionary deterioration; progressive dementia.

I refuse to follow you.
I refuse to pretend to know.
I refuse to use any more words.
Just sounds. Only sounds.

This is the way youth today thinks..live life sans boundaries, confinements and judgements. Shaurya captures the free spirit so well in this poem. Hope to see more from this spirited writer

@Shaurya I have a poem on similar lines. It’s called ‘No I won’t’
A few more of such verses and we can form a ‘gang of rebel’ 😉
Well written. Will post mine soon.
