The Poet And The King

The Poet And The King short poem

Uploaded by Richard Cronin

There once was a King, who lived in a castle, in a Kingdom of his own.
He had everything, royalty could bring, except; he was alone.
Since love wasn’t there, his castle was bare, just a building made out of stone.

He would often daydream, of finding a Queen, a Princess to share the throne.
Oh, and wouldn’t you know it! He sent for his poet, and commanded he wanted a poem.
Well the poet came in, with the poem and a grin, and bowed down before the throne.

This poem will inspire, the one you desire, Sire, said the poet to the king.
Rise up from the floor, the King said with a roar, and recite me the poem you bring.
Well, when the poet did rise, the King was surprised, the most beautiful women stood there.

The King praised GOD above, then, they fell in love, and lived happily ever after.

post scrip;
When you look in their eyes, don’t be surprised, for the whole world is looking for love!

I am not a Poet, with legacy, nor do I sound poetic.. At times, in an impulse to explore my wildest emotions, words spill out, blocking way to rationalism.. in those verses in different shades neither rhyme, nor reason.. Trust
