I Am Human

I Am Human short poem

Uploaded by Maxwell Shaw

Men, Women, Children
Brothers and sisters
Be not blind to the temple of the body
Be aware
To exterior
Of the heart,
The actions of
The soul
The state of mind
And the flow
Of emotions the earth that will share has been
Embodied with hate
Swallowed with ignorance
And defeated by lies
Fantasy we not only break the chain
To trick the brain but we forget
Without the color we are one
And the same some
May not see it that way
But God and the devil hold the frame
Through action and decisions we ourselves
As humans are the ones to claim blame
Imagine a world where you take
The focus that you put into hating or disliking
Someone or something
And replace it
With Love we would
Generate paradise in this
Blurred life
Look inside before
You desire to glance
We are all and forever
Will be humans but if we continue to think
Otherwise we together will all be the same monster.
