The Protagonists

The Protagonists prose poem

Some always want everything to go their way like the biggest protagonist
And spend sleepless nights in search of a way to be the biggest antagonist
Expecting to maintain their luxurious and privileged life styles like a true monarchist
Yet there are nothing but grayer than the grayest ashes in an ash tray like nothing but true waste
Never capable of lending a hand to a soul or waiting a second so a true friend can get back up fast
Always going down the same path of lying, cheating and stealing like a total waste of the effort and love of some of the greatest
They do not know what they do for they do not understand love and empathy for the less fortunate in the least
And live to exploit and rule the poor and the needy without the slightest concern for those most in need of help and crying “peace and tender loving at last”
Those are people with warmth in their hearts and always ready to smile at you and offer a hand, an advice or all their hard work for only a “thank you” and a genuine smile from you from the deep of your chest.
